A box-pushing game where you can grab onto boxes, with the story of an inexperienced game developer learning to live with bugs mistakes. Despite such a simple premise, things go slightly off the rails.

Initially made for Acerola Jam 0, with the theme "Aberration".

Arrow Keys / WASD (or the equivalent for your keyboard layout) to move

Other controls are onscreen in the game

This was heavily inspired by Hempuli's recent series of tiny block pushers (https://itch.io/c/4014684/tiny-block-pushers).
Additionally, the grabbing mechanic is pretty much stolen from the upcoming game Lab Rat (Go play the demo if it's still available, because it's amazing)

uh oh... the game assumes you have the font "consolas" installed locally, so I guess this is what happens if you don't. I don't understand much about fonts, but I'll see if I can find a way to fix it.

After looking into it a little bit, it seems like there's more to the problem than what I initially thought. Is there any chance you could tell me what operating system and browser you are running the game in? It would help me a lot in investigating what went wrong.

chromebook, google

I'm genuinely surprised I stuck it out and beat everything!
Pretty proud of myself all things considered
This is a real treat. The mechanics are introduced organically and there are a few fun little tricks you pull
It took me about half an hour to complete (Which I am VERY surprised at. I thought about 5 minutes had gone by, so obviously your game is engaging xD)

anything in the void? good game tho

I got stuck for a bit on main_6, until I looked in the bottom right and saw the GIF! :P

More seriously, this was a pretty cool puzzle game. The mechanic felt unique, smooth, and cool in its implementation; the final level felt like a good final test of the methods previously learned in the other levels. Despite the supposed theme of being unfinished and leaving mistakes, this felt pretty polished.

main_6 is now challenge_4, and the GIF with the solution has been removed from the page. Just putting this here to save people confusion

Starting to think main_6 is impossible, great game! Love the puzzle design

Edit: I 100% the game, would like to see a deluxe post jam version(also makes me want to make my own sokoban now…)
